Goji Labs partnered with k-ID to develop the first cross-platform, tokenized child safety verification platform, addressing the growing need for secure online experiences for children. With increasing regulations requiring age verification in digital spaces, k-ID aimed to provide a solution that balances compliance, user experience, and safety. The platform enables seamless onboarding by allowing parents to authenticate their children's access to online games and platforms. Once verified, children can engage with digital content without repeated interruptions, while developers can focus on creating engaging experiences without compromising on compliance. Goji Labs conducted extensive UX research and strategic planning, developing a comprehensive Product Requirement Document (PRD) and low-fidelity designs to ensure a user-friendly experience. The system was engineered to handle up to 50,000 verifications per minute, targeting scalability for up to 100 million monthly users. Within a year of launch, k-ID secured $51 million in funding and established partnerships with major companies like Google, Roblox, and Netflix. The platform was also showcased at the World Economic Forum, highlighting its impact on digital youth safety. This collaboration between Goji Labs and k-ID set a new standard for child safety in the digital age, combining robust technology with user-centric design to protect young users online.
