How rankings work

Directory and search ranking cannot be purchased. We use relevant services, client-submitted feedback, published work, and useful profile information to help you find an agency for your needs.

Start with the right services

Directories show agencies in your selected service and specialization. Search considers the words and services you ask for. Project matching also considers requirements such as budget, industry, location, and capabilities, so relevant expertise comes before an unrelated impressive profile.

Consider client feedback with context

Organic reputation uses approved, rated feedback submitted through client accounts or client invitations. Ratings are weighted by the number of submissions: one perfect rating carries less weight than a consistent body of client feedback. Agency-provided testimonials are displayed on profiles and counted in dashboard activity, but their stars do not increase organic ranking. Direct submission does not itself mean independently verified.

Look at published work

Published case studies contribute evidence through substantive descriptions and structured results. Two strong studies can earn all available content points; buying space for extra studies does not add organic points. Staff-reviewed sources can establish a client's scale or public-institution status. A recognizable logo alone does not count, and checking the client's classification does not independently verify the agency's project results.

Keep useful profile information current

Free-access profile completeness and years in business contribute to directory order. Verified-only service packages cannot add organic points. Founding year is agency-supplied when available. Add accurate services, locations, project sizes, and experience so buyers and project matching can assess your fit.

Different views answer different questions

Best Match uses organic directory order within your filters. You can also choose rating, review count, price, or team size. Search emphasizes query relevance, and project recommendations emphasize your brief. There is no single agency that is best for every project.

Brand Strength in an agency dashboard includes visibility and profile activity. It is a separate progress measure, not the directory ranking score. Views, clicks, verification payments, sponsored status, advertising spend, and installing a 50Pros widget do not add organic ranking points.

Existing featured and sponsored homepage commitments remain a separate showcase while we fulfill them. They do not change directory order or project match scores. Organic scores refresh daily and after staff updates reviewed client evidence; publishing a change does not guarantee an immediate position change.
