Stopping Parking Lot Break-Ins At Los Angeles Apartment Complex
In January 2025 a property manager at a Sherman Oaks apartment complex contacted Owl Sight Security Services after a single overnight incident left approximately 20 vehicles broken into in their underground parking garage. At the time the property had an existing security company on site but the coverage was not preventing criminal activity from occurring. Residents were frustrated, trust in management had taken a hit, and it was clear a different approach was needed.
Challenge
After speaking with our team and receiving a quote, the property manager was ready to move forward immediately. The only obstacle was their existing security contract which required a 30 day cancellation notice. We held their spot, kept communication open throughout the transition period, and were ready to deploy the moment their previous contract concluded.
Solution
On the first day of coverage Owl Sight Security Services deployed licensed guards to conduct active patrols throughout the underground parking garage and along the exterior perimeter of the property. The goal was straightforward. Make it immediately visible to anyone approaching or casing the garage that professional security was now on site. Randomized patrol routes ensured no pattern could be identified and exploited. Guards submitted detailed shift reports at the end of every patrol so the property manager had a complete record of all activity.
Results
Vehicle break-ins since Owl Sight Security Services took over coverage. Residents who previously felt unsafe returning to their vehicles at night now have the confidence that their underground parking garage is being actively monitored by a licensed professional every shift.
