A First ITB Berlin Stand Built to Make a Strong Impression for Get Lost

Get Lost came to ITB Berlin for the first time and treated it as their most important show of the year. We designed a stand with a ceiling element carrying their logo, planned every detail well in advance, and solved a last-minute graphics issue on site before doors opened.

Challenge

ITB Berlin was Get Lost's first appearance at the show, and they considered it the most important event on their calendar. Their objective was simple: make a strong impact. From the first conversation, their attention to detail stood out. They wanted everything planned well ahead, including steps that usually come later in the process.

Solution

We started by asking what the main goal of the stand was. As the project developed, it became clear that furniture selection mattered far more to the client than usual. At the early stages we normally treat furniture as example choices, so this became a key focus once we understood it.

Results

The client was happy with the finished stand. Their own furniture selection also worked better than we expected. During the show, our team saw that the Get Lost stand was one of the busiest in the hall every time we visited.

  • First ITB Berlin appearance delivered on schedule
  • Graphics reprinted and replaced on site before the show opened
  • Observed by our team as one of the busiest stand in the hall throughout the show

Approach

Two concepts were considered: a simple stand with no eye catcher, and a design with a ceiling element carrying the Get Lost logo. The client chose the fascia option from the start and stayed with it throughout. It was their decision, and we supported it fully.

Execution

The biggest test came on site. The client was not satisfied with the colours of the printed graphics, so we arranged a last-minute reprint and replaced them before the show. Taking on that risk made the biggest difference to the final result.

Key lesson

Understanding every expectation early saves time on revisions later. Next time, we would discuss what the budget allows at the very start. Many clients aim for a premium look on a limited budget. Trade shows can also be unpredictable: even with detailed planning, some things are outside anyone's control, and the ability to respond quickly on site matters.
