
The most iconic café in Lisbon – the Brazilian, changed both packaging to emphasize its history and increase the perception of the quality of its delicious cream pastels. Taking the historical legacy of coffee and its unique graphic identity as a starting point, we took as inspiration the recognized coffee facade. From here we applied the same ornaments and the illustration of the mythical “old man” in the new look of these packs of 2 and 6 units.
The new packaging elevated the perceived value of the product. The price moved up, but the experience now justified it. Sales followed. Most importantly, the packaging became part of the story people tell when they talk about A Brasileira. It became shareable. It became something worth giving and keeping.
