Leads & Matching

How leads are generated, matched, and what to expect.

How do I receive leads on 50Pros?
Leads come from two sources: (1) project requests submitted by businesses through the "Start a Project" wizard, which are automatically matched to your agency based on your service categories, and (2) direct messages from clients who find your profile through the directory. All leads appear in the Leads section of your dashboard with status tracking (New, Viewed, Responded, Qualified, Closed). You’ll receive an email notification when a new lead comes in. Featured agencies get priority positioning in the matching results, meaning their profiles appear first to project submitters.
What information do clients see about my agency?
Clients see your public profile including: agency name, tagline, logo, description, service categories and subcategories, industry specializations, location, team size, founding year, hourly rate range, minimum project size, team member profiles, case studies, client reviews, earned badges, and engagement models. If you are Verified, clients also see your website URL, email address, and phone number directly on your profile. If you are not verified, clients can still reach you through the platform’s messaging system and project request submissions.
What are the best practices for responding to leads?
Respond quickly — agencies that respond within 4 hours consistently earn the Fast Responder badge, which signals reliability to future clients. Personalize your response by referencing the client’s specific project description. Include relevant case studies or examples of similar work. Be transparent about your availability, pricing, and process. Use the platform’s messaging system to keep all communications organized and trackable. You can also track lead status (New, Viewed, Responded, Qualified, Closed) to keep your pipeline organized.
What kind of visibility and leads can I expect?
Visibility depends on several factors: your profile completeness, review volume, verification status, and which service categories you’re listed in. Higher-demand categories like SEO, Web Design, and App Development tend to receive more traffic. Your analytics dashboard shows detailed metrics including monthly profile views, website clicks, contact clicks, search appearance frequency, and source breakdown. As the platform grows, so does traffic to all agency profiles. Featured agencies and those with paid placement slots typically see significantly higher visibility.
Does 50Pros guarantee a specific number of leads?
No. 50Pros does not guarantee a specific volume of leads or project requests. Lead volume depends on market demand for your services, your profile quality, your responsiveness, and the competitiveness of your categories. We provide tools to maximize your visibility — profile completeness tracking, review request tools, content publishing, badges, and paid placement options — but lead volume will vary. Your analytics dashboard gives you full transparency into how your profile is performing so you can optimize accordingly.
How does the messaging system work for agencies?
The Messages section of your agency dashboard is your inbox for all client conversations. When a client messages you through your profile or through a project match, the conversation appears here. Each conversation thread shows the client’s name, their message history, and timestamps. You can reply directly within the thread. New messages trigger email notifications (configurable in Settings). The messaging system keeps all your client communications organized in one place, separate from your email. You’ll see unread message counts in the dashboard navigation so you never miss an inquiry.
How do I manage notification preferences?
From your dashboard, go to Settings > Notifications to control which emails you receive. You can toggle each notification type on or off independently: new lead alerts, review received notifications, badge earned alerts, message received notifications, monthly performance reports, and the 50Pros newsletter. Changes take effect immediately. Transactional emails related to account security (password resets, billing confirmations) cannot be disabled. You can also unsubscribe from any email by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the message.
What is the Notification Center in my dashboard?
The Notification Center (accessible from the Notifications tab in your dashboard) is an in-app feed of all important activity related to your agency. Notifications include new leads received, new reviews submitted, badges earned or lost, messages from clients, subscription changes, and system announcements. Each notification is timestamped and links to the relevant dashboard section. You can mark notifications as read or delete them. The notification bell icon in the dashboard navigation shows your unread count. This gives you a centralized view of everything happening with your agency without needing to check each section individually.
