Profile & Rankings

Optimize your profile, understand how rankings work, and stand out.

How does the ranking algorithm work?
Organic directory ranking uses client-submitted feedback, profile completeness, years in business, and published case-study evidence. Service, industry, location, and budget relevance help match an agency to a buyer’s needs. Agency-provided testimonials contribute to the broader Brand Strength display but are separate from direct client feedback used for directory ranking. Payments, verification status, sponsored traffic, views, clicks, and testimonial participation do not add organic ranking points. New paid placements are unavailable.
How can I improve my visibility in search results?
Keep your services accurate, complete your profile, publish detailed case studies with measurable results, and invite clients to submit their own feedback. These help buyers assess your agency and help relevant agencies appear in organic discovery. One-time verification unlocks contact visibility and additional agency tools but does not buy directory rank. New advertising and Launch GTM purchases are unavailable.
What is the Brand Strength score and how is it calculated?
Brand Strength is a broader profile score out of 1,200. It includes years in business (100), visibility (200), reputation (400), engagement (150), profile development (150), and published case-study evidence (200). Reputation includes separately identified direct client feedback and agency-provided testimonial participation. The organic directory score is separate: it uses direct client feedback, profile completeness, years in business, and case-study evidence, excluding paid status, traffic, clicks, badges, and testimonial participation. Scores refresh as profile evidence changes and during daily reconciliation.
Why are case studies important for my profile?
Case studies are a major organic ranking input. Published work earns proof points; substantive challenge, solution, and result narratives earn more; and structured measurable outcomes add further evidence. Staff can also award a limited bonus when an authoritative source proves that the named client meets an objective prominence threshold. Drafts and unsupported AI brand-recognition flags do not count. Detailed case studies also improve buyer confidence and AI-search discoverability.
How do client reviews affect my ranking?
Direct client-submitted feedback contributes to organic directory reputation. Agency-provided testimonials are also shown on profiles and contribute separately to testimonial participation in Brand Strength, but they do not add organic directory reputation points. Invite clients to submit their own feedback using the review request tools. Publish agency-added testimonials only with client permission and accurate wording and ratings; do not copy from other review platforms.
What are profile milestones?
Profile milestones mark 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% completion. The 19-section checklist is normalized to a maximum of 100%; adding content after completing it does not increase the completion percentage. The dashboard shows which sections remain incomplete. Reaching 75% helps qualify a recently registered agency for the Newly Joined homepage section. Published case studies and direct client feedback are separate organic ranking evidence, and payment does not add ranking points.
What is GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)?
GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization — it’s the practice of optimizing your online presence so that AI search engines (like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews) can find and recommend your agency. 50Pros publishes structured information about your agency’s services, industries, location, reviews, and case studies for search engines to understand. This happens automatically; no view toggle or connection is needed. Verification and advertising do not change this structured evidence or your organic AI-discovery score.
How does the analytics dashboard work?
Your analytics dashboard shows profile views, website clicks, contact clicks, search appearances, and traffic sources. Existing customers can review the history and delivery of previously agreed campaigns separately from organic activity. New advertising campaigns are unavailable.
